Headcanon: Missouri wears her unofficial title as oldest battleship proudly, but she dislikes others dismissing her for her age if it ever comes up.
This is true to some extent. Mo’s proud of her age and longevity, and gets annoyed when she is dismissed as “outdated” by newer shipgirls. At the same time, she likes to point out that compared to all other battleships besides Vanguard, she is the newest, and thanks to her refit in the 80s, the most advanced. Missouri is, in the US Navy, the youngest battleship completed and the last, up until the Abyssal War. Only HMS Vanguard was completed after her. Well, there’s the French battleships, but technically they were commissioned and used in war time before completion, so it’s a weird situation.
