What’s in a Nametag? Everything! A nametag is a just a fancy way of saying a specific target for each animal in a group. What is helpful about training this behavior is it allows you to manage the behavior of individuals. You can use it to separate individuals, address dominance issues, change chaos to order, prevent crowding the keeper (or door) and even create educational opportunities. I have been on the road quite a bit in the last month and found myself applying this strategy several times for different reasons. So much so I ended up putting together a detailed course for www.AnimalTrainingFundamentals.com The course includes video examples with macaques, raccoons, camels, goats, sheep and donkeys. And I am sure the list could go on. Here you see the lovely Denise learning to orient towards her nametag in one session. #sheep #hangingtarget #nametag #traininggroupsofanimals #trainingsheep #animalnametags ***Get step by step instruction on practical application techniques based on expert experience at www.AnimalTrainingFundamentals.com**** (at Santa Barbara Zoo) https://www.instagram.com/p/B5X5sWpFowL/?igshid=eopv3d8e09vr
