( he’s been on the island for a while now, posing as a technician, making sure everything runs in TIP-TOP shape. of course, he’s taken an interest as a behaviouralist as well because who WOULDN’T want to study these creatures. but of course, SHIELD’s concern was the island’s reaction to any... u n f o r t u n a t e incidents like it’s predecessor. they sent him to monitor the behind the scenes work in the park, and to keep tabs on the dinosaurs. )

( jason’s hanging around RAPTOR paddock today, going over security and watching over the care of the animals. there’s currently a research program going on testing the intelligence of the raptors. he has no clue on exactly how they’d actually do that, so it’s fascinating to watch from the sidelines. and then the guy ex-navy by the way just does his thing and jason’s clearly impressed as he approaches the guy. )

his life was full of ups and downs, and he never, ever paid attention to the numbers slowly ticking down. and then when SHIELD took him in, he threw himself into mission after mission. a soulmate was the very last thing on his mind. so when his wrist starts burning and the numbers 00:00:00 are flashing, he’s absolutely shocked. when he hears the other man speak and he appreciates the rugged handsomeness of the other he gives a small smile.

The last thing Blue remembered was the prick of a dart in her neck and blackness. Suddenly she was laying in a white room with the incessant sound of beeps surrounding her. She knew something was wrong. The way that she was looking at the world had changed. Everything was suddenly so clear and colorful. For a moment she just laid there wondering if it had all been a dream. If she blinked then maybe her vision would go back to normal. But as she did, nothing changed. Her eyesight was still so odd.

That’s when she noticed the feeling of something against her hand. While her nerves were different, she could recognize the touch as something or someone familiar. Her head turned slowly. The Alpha. For a moment she was still, simply watching him. Why was he here? Why did he look so sad? ...Did he have something to do with this? Was he the reason she was like this?

She shot up in the bed quickly, scooting to the edge away from him and ripping her hand from Owen’s grasp. Blue was panicking. Her chest tightened and heart rate began to spike, the mahcine beeping like crazy. Carefully she scrambled off the side of the bed and stared at him over it, eyes wide and curious. Something began to bubble in her throat, and before she could stop it, she spoke,

“What happened?”

In The Face of Danger || Closed w/ trainsraptors

When he'd landed in the woods and shifted back for an exploratory wander, Rio had been surprised to find a huge pen, surrounded by concrete; incredibly high walls. And around them, a network of walkways and ladders. Huh. Interesting. He could hear animal noises from within and, curiosity piqued, began to climb up onto one of the overarching catwalks.

Honestly, he only had the faintest idea where he was. Rio had been travelling for some time, just following air currents; the tired, hungry expression on his face showed that. He'd been planning on hunting in the woods, once he'd got a read on the creatures within it, and really hadn't expected to find... this. Plus it had been dark when he'd landed, and the light was coming up fast. As it did, distant (but not overly distant) noise was reaching his ears. Wherever he was, there were a lot of people nearby. Huh.

Hands in the pockets of the scruffy jeans he wore, white tee (though more grey now) was already damp and sticking to his skin. This was way too hot a place for his clothes, but it wasn't like Rio could just get changed - unless he stole, which was definitely not a plan right now. Fascinated, he leant forward on the bars of the catwalk, peering into the wooded pen below. What on earth lived in there?

The dry, earthy smell of ... something was coming up to him. Female, he could read that, but his sense wasn't quite strong enough to understand what was in there. It was familiar - almost ... like family. Like dragons, then, but - not. Missing something peppery, fiery, that essence that made dragons themselves. Big reptiles, at least, then? He wasn't sure, leaning further still, squinting at what he thought was something moving in the foliage...

Olivia had been there when the judge called her brother, telling him what was going on and how she’d been arrested and blah blah blah. She wasn’t able to speak to him until she got to the island which meant she had to be there to see his disappointment first hand. The boat had just docked and she was being ushered off, backpack strapped on her shoulder. Eyes scoured the crowd to try and find him, but part of her really wanted to run back on that damn boat and get the hell out of here.

She had won her first battle, but the same could not be said for later ones. She was hurt, and she had no one left, so she managed to find her way back to her now abandoned enclosure. It was still safe there, for now, and there she could stay to nurse her wounds.

She’s grinning like an idiot and soaked to the skin, heading back out to the main plaza among the latest batch of tourists from the Mosasaur show. It was only the second time Charlie had managed to make it to the main park since the pack’s transformation, and she was already thoroughly enjoying herself. How anyone expected her to stay at the paddock when there was so much to explore was a mystery to the youngest ex-raptor.

Slightly distracted as she looked around the crowds to try and figure out where she would go next, Charlie let out a small ‘oof’ as she managed to walk headfirst into someone standing near the Mosasaur Arena’s souvenir shop. Charlie already had her mouth open to apologise, but as she realised who she’d walked into, the words died on her tongue, a sheepish and slightly guilty smile crossing her features instead.
