"Hmm... Is that a fact? You would think that a respected elder gentleman in charge of such an important part of our city’s structure would have a little bit more discretion than a boy. Surely we must be mistaken, no?“
Oh, What ever could you mean...?
I wonder... Could it be this old trick?

“...It is not necessary.”
But she didn’t stop him. When he agreed to fight off a hoard of Lizalfos with her, she hadn’t imagine that she would get so careless as to let one slice her arm open. She should have been more careful. She normally was. But with him fighting by her side, she felt like she could have done anything. She hadn’t expected a big lizard to come up behind her as she picked them off with her light arrows.
And now, here he was, bandaging her bloody arm. Her lilac gloves were soaked in red. Strong as she was, she was still very much mortal. An injury could easily end her if struck in the right place. Luckily, this was just her arm. But now it was going to be at least a good week before she could use it again. No paperwork for a little while. But she was sure her father would understand. She knew she’d get a tough scolding for going out mostly alone.
“Did they get you at all?”
She didn’t see any noticeable scratches on him. But he also had feathers over his skin, so maybe, there could be a wound she just couldn’t see. The pain was nasty, but she was accustomed to dealing with situations like this, and remaining calm. It would take more than a gash to her arm to break this princess’s demeanor.
“I fear for what may have happened had you not been here to protect me. I think you are more skilled a warrior than I, even with all of my magic.”
“...So, let me get this straight. He’s choosin’ t’ continue somethin’ that makes people uncomfortable ‘just because you can’t control other people?’ That’s a prime-time tool move. Listen, on one hand, yeah. You teach ‘em why it ain’t cool t’talk like that at a young age when they hear it. But it’s also valid fer folks t’express their distaste with certain habits. Why add t’the already stressful job o’parentin’?”
He raises his bottle and takes a drink.
“But what do I know? Ah’m jus’ a sewer rat.”
“...This mean that filmin’s canceled today?”
