can anyone recommend me some gaming and book youtubers that are trans masc/men? preferably that aren't vtubers or mostly active on twitch, but I'm also aware that i can't be picky in this field... or, if you have a channel, i want to know. i want to check it out.
currently i know of: octavius king (fave), micky d (fave. tho nonbinary & fem leaning, they also lean masc & use he/him), cosmonautic (fave), funkyfrogplays, dukeofash, the queer reader, frankie's shelf, the gaming muse, and jamie raines.
I'm love with transmen
Yes I’m trans. Yes I prefer to be called Mitch because that’s my name now.
No, I don’t hate my birth name. No Michelle isn’t my dead name.
Most trans people hate and despise their birth name. It makes them feel awkward and weird and just down right distasteful. I on the other hand do not hate my birth name.
Michelle is my birth name and it was given to me by my four older siblings. (Named after full house lol). The name was always special to them because I was named by them. Funny story actually the doctor thought I was a CIS male up until I was born. My parents had a name picked and all. So when I was born physically a girl they didn’t have a name so they handed that to my older siblings.
I think because of this I find it hard to hate the name and consider it my “dead name” because my name wasn’t out of a book or planned or anything like that. It was picked out by love and the love of a show lol.
I just want people to know not all of us hate the name we were assigned too. It’s kind of why I go by Mitch short for Mitchell because it’s a more masculine version of Michelle. (Also I always hated Michael lol). I prefer Mitch, I like it far more than michelle but even after all my work I’ll be doing to be the boy i was meant to be. I still won’t spit on the name I given by my siblings. (Even though they want nothing to do with this ).
Added fact, Michelle was a popular male name in France but that is beside the point xD
