This had been the first time Shutoku held any practice games with Touou; since enrolling at the school Midorima hadn’t once played against them, only watched games of their’s. It seemed as if fate had finally swayed and brought the two high schools together, since both had acquired a member of the Generation of Miracles it would be interesting to see how things played out. The games currently held no weight since they were merely for practice but neither team had the intention to lose.
Midorima’s luck was in second place today, begrudgingly behind Takao’s, but that wasn’t enough to bench the shooting guard. After about hour at their rival school they had decided to take a short break, and Midorima figured that he’d stop by the vending machine-- if he could figure out where it was. The Shutoku players hadn’t been on the Touou campus before so all he could really do was ask someone who’d know.
Throughout their time in Touou’s gym, Midorima had noticed a student who, while present with the team, didn’t appear to be an actual player. He simply watched from the bleachers while occasionally appearing courtside with water for the actual players. He could have been in a lower string but he didn’t set foot on the court so that seemed less likely, seeming to be closely observing the activity of the practice games he could just be an enthusiastic student who was merely a fan of the sport. Midorima made sure to approach when he seemed most accessible, “Excuse me,” he spoke up to make his initial presence known “Could you tell me where the closest vending machine is?”
