Hi, TJ anon here. Republicans being actual monsters is making me depressed and I was planning on sending something cute but I'm just so overwhelmed that I haven't been able to come up with any cute Holiday things to send you.

I’m sorry you haven’t been feeling well lately, it’s hard to stay positive with everything going on politically, so don’t worry about not sending anything. But maybe I can send you some cute things to you instead?

• On the first night of Hanukkah, Carmilla’s mother has a work related emergency and gets called into the office, and since Will is celebrating with his father this year, he’s not around either. Carm is disappointed since she promised Laura that they’d celebrate together with her family, so Laura teams up with Mattie (who isn’t very religious) to get everything ready and surprise Carmilla. It’s not what she had in mind but she’s touched by the surprise and has a great time with Laura, Mattie, and their friends.

• Carmilla goes to visit Laura during winter break but a snow storm leaves her stuck at the Hollises’ house for the night—which isn’t really that much of a problem since they get to spend the evening cuddling under a ton of blankets and watching movies while Sherman makes his famous super-chocolatey hot cocoa with extra marshmallows for his favorite girls. In the morning they go out into the snow, making a snowman and going sledding.

• Carm and Laura and their friends work together to write a proposal that establishes protections for trans students at their school, and it’s approved by the board with overwhelming support. They also attend a protest against Republicans being actual monsters of course.

Day 7 Pride!

Laura have been attending pride for some years, but this is Carmilla’s first time in Pride and they both get emotional.

Ik the carmilla week is official over but I got this idea and well :D

Here's some unfortunateness for TJAU: Carmilla runs a marathon and finishes in the top five. The officials try to award her with the men and she outright refuses to accept any medals before leaving with Laura. Laura and Carm spend the rest of the day cuddling on their couch watching Brooklyn Nine-Nine.

Aww that’s sad, I need to come up with a happy follow-up headcanon! What if after that happens, Carm and Laura help organize a trans-friendly race where the proceeds go to a charity that benefits trans youth (especially trans athletes)?

Laura, once learning that Carmilla is trans and understanding it, would try to be friendly and supportive in her usual gungho way and it would make Carmilla more abrasive because she feels like Laura is only befriending her because she's different.

The miscommunication spurs their rivalry on but one day when some asshole who knows Carmilla starts constantly misgendering her Laura works quickly to get an adult, maybe her dad.

Carmilla doesn’t know how to thank Laura other than having Mattie buy a dozen or more boxes of Thin Mints, putting Laura firmly in the lead for sales.

Yet another anon. I imagine Mattie not really buying into religion but fiercely protecting Carmilla in all her devoutness to the point where Mattie gets suspended several times after she beats up people who made antisemitic comments to Carmilla.

Hahahaha! I always imagined Mattie being much older than Carm, like maybe mid 20s. And she’s got one hell of a lawyer who makes sure Carm’s high school protects its minority students

Different anon to the one sending you the TJ Carmilla HC's, but I reckon in this AU, the reason Mattie doesn't trust Laura for the longest time is probably directly from her love and protectiveness of Carm, and they often but heads because they both think they know what's best for Carmilla. It takes a long time, but eventually they come to an understanding, mostly because it pulls carmilla in too many ways trying to go between them. And they're united against those who don't accept carm

Yes this!! I was also thinking that in this AU, Carmilla’s father is dead and her mother isn’t very involved in her life because of her job, so Mattie is the closest thing she’s had to a parent which makes her extra protective of her

He would be so happy to see how far Carmilla has come since the day she came out to him. He goes all out and it's a memorable wedding. Laura has her fairytale, Papa Hollis gets two amazing daughters, and Mattie couldn't be more happy for her sister.

Yeah!! I love this AU so much. Speaking of Mattie, what do you think she’d be like in this AU? I like to think that she would be very supportive and threaten to kick the asses of anyone who says/does anything transphobic. And she teaches Carm how to apply makeup and gives her some hand me down clothes (but they’re really not Carm’s style so instead they go shopping together to pick out clothes that she actually likes)
