“And now Yusuf is wondering if maybe his father didn't abandon them, not really. And if that boy is his brother...does he want to know him?”
(More angst but little bit of comfort)
There was actually an chance that Ali’s sons actually met and talked about Ali, and also that little boy talking about Sangwoo, and everything as Ali’s older son brings out pictures and such of Ali and showing them to the little boy and such
Ali’s son then watches as the little boy looks at the pictures and such, and as Sangwoo’s mom brings pictures of Sangwoo and shows the two boys and such as Ali’s son sees Ali’s ghost (which Sangwoo’s ghost was there as well), and Ali’s son nods and he sees Ali’s ghost
I will take the comfort!
Yusuf going back to that shop everyday for a whole week, trying to catch another glimpse of that boy. Mrs. Cho eventually coming out, and just looking at him, noticing how much he looks like her beloved grandson. She asks him who he is and he says his name is Abdul Yusuf. She nods and tells him to come by her place the next day. Maybe with some pictures?
The next day, he shows up with an evenlope of pictures he snuck away from his house. Mrs Cho talks to him before the boy-calling him Sang-chul-can come in. She tells Yusuf that her son's friend, Gihun, dropped the baby off with her, saying that Sangwoo and the other parent, Ali, were tragically killed hours after Sang-chul was born.
Yusuf is heartbroken, knowing his father died so soon after he left him and his mother, and still a little mad that he got pregnant only a couple of months after leaving.
But then Sang-chul walks in, and he does look so much like Ali, especially his eyes, hair and smile. Mrs. Cho tells the boy that Yusuf is his half-brother and they get talking.
