I've done ballet for 22+ years out of my 30 years on this planet. Today, I know that one of the leads in the local ballet I am in is a trans man. I'd never met openly queer dancers before, so I certainly hadn't seen them accepted at a studio, especially in a way that casts a man in a role on pointe while also not questioning that he is a man. Happy Pride, it keeps getting better, even these days
