since it's the middle of the night and i can't sleep have some venting

today my sister pressured me to apply for jobs by acting like i was a burden on my parents by being financially dependent on them while 20 and in college (this is not the first time she's done this)

while at the mall with the same sister, giamaica, i mentioned how i was more interested in women's clothes for everyday purposes than drag purposes and she kind of tried to steer the conversation in the direction of me coming out to her as something non-cis

last night at dinner my family started talking about how my dad was curious as to whether or not one of his female clients was amab but it was phrased "whether she's a woman or a man" and i protested and my other sister, normandie, objected to me getting worked up because my dad is an accepting person (which is true but still NO)

my mom came into my room today and when she noticed my eyeliner she said "oh you're beautiful" and called it guyliner and when i got mad about the word she acted like i was attacking her

in the car on the way home from dinner giamaica made a joke like "men don't have boxes" or something and i said (in a smart-alecky way) that some men do have vaginas and she said that not everything had to be trans activism and i just bit my fucking tongue

idek how to teach my family that even if they're down with trans people and what they're doing that doesn't render them incapable of problematic behavior or how to tell giamaica that she doesn't get to nag me
