2017 has been a year of great personal discovery for me. April was the time I finally accepted myself for the amazing man I am inside and started to change my outside to fit me. I found what I hope to be my forever friends this year, without whom this whole discovery would have taken a lot longer. I have been supported and loved this year as well as scared and frightened and dysphoric. But I have finally taken my first step towards medical transition and my parents have taken their first step towards accepting me. Above is me on Christmas morning holding my copy of “Trans Mission” by the brilliant Alex Bertie, which my parents had bought me for christmas along with my first set of cufflinks. I hope 2018 brings more moments of self realisation and more steps both on my part and my families. Most of all though, I want to thank all of you. Tumblr is a place I have always felt valid, supported and loved. I would like to thank each and every one of you, and I want you all to know that it does get better.
