For my AU Funkin' Starlights, I've decided to change the boy band name from Monochromique to Checkmate since they're wearing black/white, and chess is usually in the same colours.

Darnell is the king since he's the one overseeing the board. He's the smartest one in the trio, and the one who usually comes up with the plans to dominate the charts. All he needs is one step to end you. (Kings can only move one space in chess.)

Pico is the queen as a reference to the fact he's AFAB. He's the deadliest one of the trio, and if you're not careful, even the smallest opening in your defense is enough for him to take you out. (Queens can move any amount of spaces in any direction, and can quickly eliminate your entire board if you're not careful.)

Then Boyfriend is the dumbass knight who takes too many L's against the other two. (Knights can only move in a L shape.) He's too stupid to beat Pico or Darnell in anything requiring more brain power than average, but his unique movement/way of thinking allows him to use his stupid unpredictability to undermine his opponent.

Since idol Pico is friends with the ladies, he hangs out with them once a week. They’re the reason why his nails are painted black, and the reason why he wears eyeliner to make his gaze more piercing than usual. They also helped him get customized earrings which he wears on his left ear. (I’ll draw this later since it’s a unique style that isn’t really searchable.) The girls are also the ones who helped him realize that men can enjoy things society considers feminine, and he’s more comfortable with the way he is after tossing the toxic masculinity aside.

He also loves desserts with rum in it so much that it’s the quickest way to make him happy.

I 'Think' I have A style down so here are facts for the boys of all time (In my mod that has no name yet)

Pico

In the mod, Pico has severe PTSD and BPD, along with anxiety issues and insomnia, because... well yeh, Pico's school existed.

He comes from a Hispanic origin and speaks fluent Spanish. In raps or in simple fights he will cuss people out in Spanish (Especially if they are white dudes thinking they are the shit-) just for the hell of it.

(Yes this ties to the character I added cuz yeh) After meeting Rex, they ended up bonding over trauma and shit, with Rex's INSANE amount of money, he got Pico a high-quality therapist that ended up helping him control how serious his trauma responses are (Basically helping him find ways to calm himself and I identify what real and not when in a panic)

He has earrings. Period.
