Heres my email script!
“Hi [Teacher]! Happy Holidays! I hope you are having a nice break! For the last few semesters, you knew me as [Dead Name]. I am writing to inform you that I am starting to come out as trans and have not legally changed my name. I would greatly appreciate it if you refer to me as [Name]. Thank you for your understanding, and sorry if this gets confusing! I look forward to next semester! [Name] “
Now my school is a little different and much more relaxed than most colleges, but hopefully this can help someone write their own up!
Obviously, the first part depends on the time, but I would suggest saying something nice and friendly to start off.
