Suddenly realized that my Au is getting some traction!! I’ll briefly summarize it rn, but will go more in depth eventually, possibly in character on this blog.
Fallout Fire is a 19 yr old from the city, who started transitioning from female to male when he was 11. My hc for Bat city is that they’re tolerant towards trans people only if it is kept a quiet affair and to keep being the perfect citizen. Surgeries are offered, but chances are you won’t come back out, so Fallout hasn’t had top surgery.
Fallout is brought to the desert after stumbling upon some killjoys raiding a store on the outskirts of the city. Dracs are Dumb and the killjoys knew even if they saw the city boy mixed up in their group, they’d shoot him on the spot if the crew didn’t do something.
So the crew (still figuring out a name) kidnapped fallout basically, and left him with their friend Texas Red in zone 2. Texas Red helped Fallout through the withdrawal from the pills he took so often and explained all that he knew about the desert to fallout. During this time, after he was sober and coherent that is, fallout went by Clover, since he didn’t want to use his city name and hadn’t found his desert name yet.
Time passes, and he gets a hawk named Charlie (literally haven’t figured that out at All yet but my idea is that the Phoenix witch was like Yo there’s an abandoned baby bird over here and ur also kinda abandoned HahA symbolism)
by this time he’s been wandering farther into the zones, having left Texas Red and wanting to go off on his lonesome (with Charlie of course) when he stumbles upon a building In.. uhh zone 4/5 haven’t decided yet. He explores it, and decides to make it his home so he DoES YEET
It turns into Trans Traffic, a store for ‘joys to get binders, gaffs, hormones etc. after about a year of it being there, he finally finishes cleaning and furnishing the hidden basement/bomb shelter thing to have an operating room for surgeries. Haven’t figured out HOW the surgeries are done bc he’s Not a surgeon but I’ll figure it out eventually!!
He accepts pretty much anything as payment, be it carbons, food, water, clothes, donations etc. he makes the binders + gaffs himself, with an old sewing machine he had Texas red fix up for him. He gets the hormones from someone within the city who goes by Mother Goose.
Yeah!! That’s all I have so far, but I’d love any and all suggestions! And if you have any ideas or characters you want to be part of this feel free to @ me! Fallout is always happy to have more people help him out in the shop, with deliveries and pick up, and sewing.
