Tracer hadn't been there long, but she'd been there long enough. None of the men had noticed her flickering into existence off behind them, but she had seen enough to have... If not a clear idea of the situation, then a clear idea of what she should do.
"I don't think this kid is safe with any of you blokes, frankly," she said, watching with satisfaction as all the men's heads jerked over to look at her for the first time. "And I think I'm going to intervene."
She really didn't know how fast any of these guys were, but she was confident she was faster. They couldn't react before she blinked in, picked up the injured, clearly dazed kid--"I'll just take that"--and blinked out.
She could hear them shouting and yelling behind her, but, well, too slow. She kept running, blinking as much as she could as fast as she could to get distance between the men and the two of them. She needed to find a hospital, but she had no idea where or when she was, and she wouldn't be here long. She had to get this kid as safe as possible.
"Hey," she said, feeling blood drip down her fingers and fear settle into her gut. "Hang in there! The cavalry's here."
