her most mentally attractive attribute is her several diagnosable mental disorders. jokes aside shes incredibly perceptive (to a detrimental hyperperceptive degree) which lends her to being able to say the right thing at the right time (or a calculated out of pocket wrong thing at the right time). this perceptiveness makes her a pretty good tactician despite the fact that she much rather would follow orders than give them. it does mean that if she has your back in a fight you can rest assured that its well guarded

wow the nose emoji is weird. anyways. she does not necesarily smell Good. but she does not smell Bad either. having peasant swag means she didnt have the luxury of fun smelling soaps or anything like that but when she moved to hightown she was able to actually get some soaps. her "signature scent" is whatever perfume isabela is wearing because friend is always crawling on isabela like a weevil

favorite thing about them: her characterization in IF is the best out of the timelines. like the fact that she could largely be responsible for altering the fate of an entire timeline and tip the scales by siding with hope is so cool to me. IF mukuro is best mukuro

least favorite thing about them: i wish makoto wasnt the one she had a crush on, mostly bc im sort of tired by how he's the center of mostly everything AND the whole "guy changes a girl's worldview because she fell in love with him" falls flat in this case similar to how Kaito and Maki's whole situation did. mukuro doesnt deserve to be apart of his harem when he wont even return her feelings bc he likes kyoko

favorite line: "I'm so sorry, Junko. I never really understood what despair was. But it's going to be all right now. I finally understand. So... I'll make sure I make you happy, Junko. Is the Pathologic fandom ever gonna get around to talking about how the guy who runs that blocklist and stalks people's bookmarks for Fiction Crimes had underage porn in his own AO3 bookmarks for like 3 years

I mean, I personally don't believe this means he's a pedophile and the entire fandom needs to be warned preemptively not to interact with him for their own safety, especially minors -- but that's absolutely what he would say if he caught someone else with this content. Just like this fic probably has some kind of valid justification or what the fuck ever excuse fancops use so they can keep jacking off to the same shit they abuse others for, but that kind of nuanced consideration has never been a courtesy he's extended to anyone else, so he won't be getting it from me.

Also, if you're feeling generous and think he genuinely doesn't believe his behaviour is wildly hypocritical, this fic suddenly vanished from his bookmarks earlier this year. Given that he still has another M-rated part of this series saved (also marked Underage!), I'm guessing he realized how bad this looks for him and set the Explicit-rated part to private. Too late of course, but a good try.

Anyway, I may have a good 75% of the fandom blocked, but I thought the ones who are left would appreciate the schadenfreude

Ok, fair warning, I don't think I've sat through even 5 "bad" horror movies, so I'll just list the ones I didn't like, personally:

Door Lock (2018)

Pet Sematary, 2019 remake

It: Chapter Two

Crimson Peak

These are the ones I actually remember enough to tell you about the unpleasant viewing experiences I had.

First up: Door Lock, a Korean crime thriller that one could argue isn't technically horror but my god, it hits every single one of the hallmarks of dumb slasher movie character syndrome. Like by the third act me and my cousins were gobsmacked by the decisions the protag made and honestly she would've deserved to be a murder victim. She's just- argh, it's like if you grabbed the character who splits off from the gang and dies first in a horror movie and gave her plot armour just so she could outlast the serial killer and claim the final girl title, you know what I mean? It's a bad movie and it's not even fun to watch. Make sure you skip this one.

Pet Sematary - I actually watched this one in theatres and it's not that bad, but the ending absolutely ruined it for me. You get the sense that they just didn't know when to end it and the last act dragged on for way too long. It's very bloated with multiple plot twist / fake-out endings at the end. If they left the last 10-15 mins on the cutting room floor I think it would be a decent movie. The acting was good (especially the actor who played the dad - forgot his name - whose grief felt so tangible), so it just needs another round of editing.

It: Chapter Two is a mess of a film, tonally and structurally. The pacing was so Baaaaad. I'm sure it's not the worst horror movie to have come out that year but I'm including it simply because the first movie was almost flawless, and the sequel was decidedly not.

Crimson Peak - watched it with my flatmates at the time and we all left the theatre like "what the fuck...?" It probably suffered from its marketing, cause we went in expecting a regular haunted house horror film and ended up with incest on our hands. The sex scene between Loki and Alice-in-Wonderland also felt very awkward and overly long, and neither me nor my flatmates appreciated it (probably because it was filmed for the straight female gaze and none of us fit the bill). And sure, those - the lust and the sins - are all narrative elements characteristic of the literary definition of the gothic genre, but me and the lads certainly did not expect it, and probably wouldn't have gone to see it if we had known that that was what the film was about. This was just my personal experience though, and doesn't diminish the artistic merits of the film. (For example, it's beautifully shot, and it's objectively a well-paced film). I think if I was given a better synopsis, and hadn't seen it in theatres with my guy friends, it might be a completely different viewing experience.

(There's lots more mediocre or shitty horror / thriller movies out there, but I haven't paid money to see those in theatres and usually just changed the channel if I get bored/annoyed halfway through the second act, so those don't count.)

Eva Yan for the character thing

favorite thing about them: I really love Eva’s romantic idealism. As tragic as her end is in Daniil’s scenario, the idea of giving soul to something static is honestly very beautiful to me. Especially with the dimension of the Cathedral originally being designed to produce and effect the flow of time. I don’t quite understand all of it but I think the aspiration was beautiful, if incredibly tragic in how she tried to do so. 

least favorite thing about them: In 2 it’s def the racism :/ 

favorite line: The line she has about having an overflowing amount of soul :) but also the exchange she has with Artemy where he calls her a town flower and she calls him a bitter root is cute.

brOTP: Her relationship with Daniil is very endearing in Classic to me, there’s a notable warmth between them in their interactions and even just the contrast between an idealistic, romantic dreamer and someone who values the concrete scientific method and such makes for an interesting variation in their perspectives. And it makes it all the nicer when they come to more of an understand of one another.

OTP: I have a soft spot for Eva/Daniil but my ultimate ship is Eva/Aglaya to be honest. I found a really good fic on it and have been smitten ever since. 

nOTP: Nothing that I can really think of to be honest.  random headcanon: Nocturnal End Eva has a herb bride wife :D

unpopular opinion: OKAY I HAVE A LOT APPARENTLY BUT my biggest one is that Eva staying in the Nocturnal End is actually incredibly interesting but we should have at least some idea why. She’s torn between the Steppe and the Cathedral and I don’t think it’s a simple matter of fetishisation (though that def does appear to be a part of it), but rather how she conceptualises her “overflowing” soul and connection to immortal miracles. I feel like for being the notable exception to stay in Town for that ending we should’ve been given at least a partial indication of why that is, have more interactions with her during quests when you see Daniil and such.
