been watching TMNT2012 for the first time and I adore the transfem Leo headcanon. I especially enjoy the funny factor of turtles not really having any externally visible sexual dimorphism, so visually this is all that the transition consists of

okey so,
im making a tmnt verse thats inspired but completely separate from actually serialized series with a bunch of headcanons and new mechanics and stuff
aprils black again like og her was and she continued being in rottmnt and onwards, im running with the transfem leonardo headcanon that was big in the 2k12 fandom, using different species of the turtles and using the yokai secret society thing that is also in rise, but i think the biggest difference im making is to make the series a teen slice-of-life/action combination with darker themes, as all adaptations of the turtles tend to inevitably have, mostly inspired from the scene in rise and the end of the mutant mayhem movie where donnie/the turtles are in high school with april. and to achieve that and have the whole yokai integrated with the society of new york thing, im adding devices called cloaks which are accessories that transform yokai into human versions of them. there are a plethera of other things im adding to this version of the tmnt (transmasc casey jones, also being openly jewish and latino from a single parented home, donnie/casey, original yokai) and it will have to obviously be unserialized unless i somehow get picked up by IDW to publish and sell, but anyways heres my human versions of the turtles and a bunch of rambling about them that i have so far
