A recipient of the Rotary Bristol Noon Club’s Paul Harris Award, Greg Jordan is president emeritus of King University in Bristol, Tennessee. In mid summer of 2013, Greg Jordan signed an agreement with Northeast State Community College (NESCC) to implement a reverse transfer program for King University students who transferred from NESCC before completing their associate's degree. Later that year, another reverse transfer agreement occurred with Walters State Community College in Morristown, TN.
The reverse transfer program is designed to help transfer students from partnering community colleges complete their associate's degree while working toward their bachelor’s degree. Through the program, eligible transfer students may finish remaining required courses at King for the associate's degree. In order to ensure students receive their associate's degree upon course completion, students may transfer their completed course work back to the respective community college. In addition to agreements with NESCC and WSCC, the university developed reverse transfer programs with seven other community colleges in Tennessee including Roane State Community College and Pellissippi State Community College.
