What could I believe to happen if I metamorphosed yet again? And yet, the radiance fell. By your hand. I still remember when you finally reached the top of the abyss... And I cast you back into it. (Adding onto the peri likes being held thingy (yis that was me)) in my head the reason for it is because like, 6fucktillion years ago, or whenever yellow and blue first got the news of pinks "shattering", they just needed a thing to hug, discovered peridots are huggable, so they threw the "loves being held" thing in, and forgot about it. Sorry that its more a blue+yellow diamond thing for this, but I've got lotsa hc's on why they added things to certain gems.
