I'm not crazy for thinking this looks like crap and would look so much better with a more G1 colour scheme. People keep trying to refute that by saying that "the line is going for a realistic military aesthetic so the dull colours work". No they do not, the theming doesn't stop this from being bland as hell and also it's still a giant robot with very clear G1 cues it's nowhere near as grounded and gritty as you're saying it is.

Transformers Overgear thoughts

The toys, look good.

The models are fine.

The animation. Is. Awful. Period. It is so clunky , you will get more out of watching Beast wars because at least it had the excuse of its animation being the way it was because of the times and the tech.

A show that is trying to have these complex of models and show complex transformations like its trying to do, looking this BAD??? Honestly I do not even want to know how much this show is for its budget.

Considering they ran Earthspark into the ground, they barely promote their FREE show in YouTube Cyberworld, we don't get another Live action movie, do don't get a Transformers one Sequel. And THIS is the quality they pump out ?

I do not mind the gritty duller aesthetic. It is clearly geared towards an older audience and a audience wanting to but better quality figures. And ...Bay...fans (lemme be clear i mean het men who cant leave 2007 behind) However just because it's geared toward older audiences doesn't excuse the poor animation.

Combiner wars looks better, hell War for Cybertronian trilogy looks better! And so many ppl have gripes with that show. I do not understand the praises when it doesn't even seem to be show casing anything new than mentioning the gimmick Overgear (hence the name)

Again the models and the toy look fine. But not in action. Unless I know Starscream or a fav will make an appearance i have zero interest in this show.

It's the bots with military fighting against the cons. Wow we don't have a million of those alright 💀

Also the bits bits shown is Blackout (who looks cool) and FUCKING????? Ironhide???? Who I just thought was a new bot entirely but no, thats Iron hide
