Turbulence is normally pretty unshakeable by the asks he’s sent. Keeping up a front of sheer obnoxious bastard energy, sandwiched between ‘no conjunx’es for good measure.

Tears prick at the corners of his eyes reading this message.

This message sounds so sincere, it sounds like it’s coming from a disappointed mother, a mother he never had.

He grabs the datapad with the ask on it and shakes it, like he’s shaking the shoulders of someone to snap them out of something.

“He loves me. He’s always loved me. I’m his favorite son.“

The tears keep flowing, tinged the slightest shade of green thanks to the Bulb-Rust.

“What sort of cruel joke... he loves me, he cares for me, I’m the one who’s going to inherit his empire, ever since my sparking, he...”

The question sticks in his mind, for a long time. Sinking like a rock into dark waters, settling on the bottom and refusing to move.

He hates that he keeps questioning his own answer.

Misfire, being a guncat, do laser pointers affect you? If they do... have you ever caught the red dot?

Misfire grins and kir audials flick in amusement.

Laser pointers are fun!! Sometimes I like to grab one and shine it everywhere and watch all my parents chase it!!!!! Ever since Soundwave moved in, ze will try and use zir bridges to catch it and I swing it faster then ze can get it! Warpy like to teleport everywhere and a few times TC crashed into a wall! Then the Aegis wakes up and grumbles and gets really mad!

It’s even funnier when you shine the light between Soundwave and Starscream and they both fight for it!

If I shine the light towards my siblings, they also fight for it and becomes a giant pile of war teleporting and they end up tripping over each other.

If you ever get bored, just shine a laser pointer at the nearest Seeker and watch the armor clang!

If you don’t mind me asking, how’d you first come up with the character of Roxie?

I honestly don’t mind questions about my oc Roxie and whatnot. She’s my pride and joy. 

When I first created an OC, it was meant for a Transformers roleplay many years ago with friends. After I watched the Bumblebee movie, Cyberverse and rewatched Animated and Prime had brought me back into Transformers as an escape from dramas last year. I decided I wanted to bring back an old oc from the roleplay and give her a massive redesign and reboot. Before reboot, she was a human called Chloe Peyton. And after redux to set up The Nexus universe, she is now a techno-organic called Roxana “Roxie” Valiente. Techno-organic concepts are interesting to me and I wished they were explored more outside of Animated imo. In the redux, she was created on heavy inspirations from the characters such as Sari Sumdac, Ciri from the Witcher, Dorothy from Emerald City (hence the fancast choice if The Nexus were in live-action). I changed her name mainly due to the alliteration between Chloe and Chromia that I wanted to avoid. I went through many redesigns within the Sims 4 to get the appearance I envisioned her.

Though, the biggest thing about Roxana’s story within Transformers universe was that she’s profound deaf and hearing impaired. It is something deemed personal to me because I projected much of my disability and my struggles onto her. I had a rough time last year and the projection of my disability into my oc started because of it. Same with being born profound deaf--something I find a workaround on the idea that Roxana’s audial receptors were badly damaged and irreparable before she was activated. She doesn’t really have the perfect hearing--she has moments of vulnerability when it comes to her hearing aids; with or without it. She doesn’t do sign language but she can lipread (if not a little perfect). I’ll be honest with you, characters, or self-inserts, having hearing impairment within Transformers media are really, really rare to see, or find content. I thought it was better for me to create an OC than to find an existing female adult character across continuity to project my disability onto. 

Her disability does play a role in her story and building relationships with certain characters she’ll warmed up to--especially with her guardian: Drift/Deadlock, Windblade, Ratchet, Soundwave, Grimlock (surprisingly) and Shatter--who helped her to feel safe and secured within the world where the society looked down upon deaf and disabled people. I had written about the headcanons on Roxie’s bond and relationship with Drift in another post here: [link] And I did wrote about the oneshot fic covering my worldbuilding exploration into her hearing impairment for Cybertronian techno-organic but I uhh kinda deleted them off Ao3, because not everyone are interested in hearing impaired characters to my guess. Ok, I’ll stop right here before it get too long. x3

*kicks down the door* sketch for Roxie?

From this Meme Ask: [Source] Sketch - How much did [X] character’s design change from your original visualization of them, or their preliminary design? ty for the ask! Oh boy, I have you know that Roxie had went through ALOT of changes to her designs since 2020. She was rebooted and had a name change. Here is Roxie's appearance designs I did via Sims 4:

Left was the oldest design to right was the recent, final design. Also, these screenshots above are all unedited, they were original screenshots from ingame. At first, she had auburn brown hair with blue eyes to red hair with green eyes. The third image showed a brighter eyes to represent techno-organic having glowly eyes (until I discovered cybernetic eyes mod much later).

Then, I recalled the flashback panel in Shadowplay arc showed that Drift had gold optics, this resulted in further more tweaks, her hair went from poppy red to dark red due to story reason. Changed her optic colour from green to gold and also a change to her skintone due to Sims 4 added new options in the game.

Also, while she still has red hearing aids, she also had a new heart shaped pendant as part of the major cont spoiler. I gave her some tattoos (some subjected to change) and a large scar on her chest and back for major cont spoiler.

Yes, she also became a lot more goth throughout the progression. For that, I’m quite happy with how she looks in the final design to my visualisation of her. She came a long way here. If you ask me who’s her fancast, my choice was Adria Arjona (who is also the voicelclaim for Roxie). The biggest change in the reboot for my OC before I introduced her was making her from a boring human teenager to a young adult techno-organic with hearing impairment. And, techno-organics are more cooler and interesting than humans.

🍁 Misfire wasn’t originally pink! He also doesn’t remember how he got to be this color, but doesn’t want to admit that he doesn’t know, so he just reassures everyone frequently and loudly that he TOTALLY PICKED THIS HIMSELF YEP THIS IS DELIBERATE I HAD GREAT REASONS. He actually kinda loathes the color but he can’t back down now!!!!
