Remember... Whether a line cook, computer tech, medic, admin, pilot, or foot soldier, whether here at home or abroad, all are always actively defending our Constitution and our country, not as individuals, but as an entity, a machine. Each part in the machine is required to function. By and large, no person enlists in order to kill other humans. No soldier wants to create orphans. No soldier is ever privy to the big picture. We have to trust that you, the citizen, are exercising your right to elect representatives that call us to action. We are a tool. You are the person that wields this tool through your representation...selected by you. If you don't like our missions, don't send us on them. If you don't want us to have a presence in the Middle East, don't send us there. If you don't like the destruction laid by our drones, don't tell us to use them. If you believe that crimes against humanity have been committed, hold us accountable and those that ordered us to do so. This is the Oath of Enlistment which is sworn by all enlisted personnel in all branches of the United States military. "I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice." Q. What is the first duty in the Oath of Enlistment? A. Support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic. Q. Why does our Constitution still rule our country? A. Because no foreign or domestic power has supplanted or suspended it. Q. Why has no foreign or domestic power has supplanted or suspended it? A. Because of the deterrent force of the United States military. ...or unicorns and rainbows. Yeah, that's why you have freedoms, unicorns and rainbows. #transgenderveterans #girlslikeus #transisbeautiful #veteransday
