Miguel is in stance in front of his mirror, practicing jab punches. He's standing bare-chested, he needed a rest from his binder.
He wraps his arms around his thin, athletic frame. His breasts have become smaller since he started hormones. "Not small enough", he laments. He pictures his mother taking extra shifts at the hospital, Johnny taking a warehouse job to help pay for his surgery. He rears back and punches.
"Strike first".
He throws all of his strength into the next jab.
"Strike hard".
The third punch is directed at the reflection, that of a man. Miguel.
"No mercy".
