Unpopular opinion: Even if someone was 'faking' *anything* (being trans, plurality, etc) for "attention", that doesn't automatically make them a bad individual unless they were intentionally causing genuine harm. And it certainly doesn't give you permission to ruin their lives because of it.

The trans movement is not about making cis people comfortable. Trans liberation is not supposed to only be for the people who can appear most palatable to cis people. It shouldn’t ever be.

Cis society desires our eradication and silence. Placating those desires by silencing and fighting any trans and gender nonconforming person who is easily visible, atypical, and targeted by cis society’s hatred…that leads directly into a path of community “cleansing” that denies & kills every one of us who does not meet cis standards. By the way, that’s most of us, and the most marginalized first.

as a he/they i'm kinda uncomfortable/sad with nobody using both of elliot page's pronouns. like yes please don't misgender him but they also go by they pronouns that nobody seems to use and i'm sad about that bc it does hurt when you have two sets of pronouns that you use and ppl only use one set, sorry for venting

you’re valid!! I think some people tend to pick one set and stick with it, but others will switch back and forth. I think the reason some folks pick one is for readability? and I also think some people prefer people mixing them but others (like myself) don’t really care (but i’m not a he/they i use neopronouns so it’s different, I would imagine)

anyway. you’re definitely right!! we should always respect folks who use mixed pronouns!! while idk how elliot page prefers folks to use their pronouns, but we (especially binary folks!) should be aware of any internal transmisia which causes us to focus on one of his sets of pronouns vs the other one!!

Users on Facebook experienced the highest percentage of online harassment. About 75% of those who experienced online harassment reported at least some of that harassment occurred on Facebook. Smaller shares experienced harassment or hate on Twitter (24%), YouTube (21%), Instagram (24%) and TikTok (9%).
