Transmission Failure
I don't know how much longer she has.
I should probably put a plan in place.
She's been having a harder time shifting as of late;
had a hard time going up hills for a while now.
Can you believe she once got me through the mountains in virginia and north carolina?
She stalled out on a hill today.
That was incredibly scary.
I put on the hazards and tried to go but she wouldn't move.
Just as I managed to limp her a few inches,
the truck behind us turns on his police lights.
My heart laid still in my chest.
I managed to merge into the right hand lane.
I parked my car and got my license ready.
The undercover officer got out of his car.
I'm sorry-
I started as he approached my window.
"I'm not pulling you over, I'm helping divert traffic."
He said at the same time.
A touch of relief flooded over me.
I thanked him and got back to it.
Park. Press the gas lightly a few times. Shift to drive. Try.
She managed to go, I thought we had it for a moment.
I cheered and waved to the officer.
Just as he waved back, she stopped again.
Easy. Don't push her too hard.
I had to be so careful-
my car would start to roll backwards down the hill.
I think that's why it was extremely difficult.
I don't want to break her.
I don't want to be stuck in this turn lane.
Finally. I pushed the petal and she went.
I cheered again, gave another thank you wave.
I turned right at the light and arrived to even ground.
I pulled into a nearby parking lot to let her settle,
then took her for a test drive to the gas station.
I am worried it will happen again, though all seems good at the moment.
