P!OFF?- Mein Walkman Ist Kaputt 7”
Here’s a German NDW/synth rarity from 1982. Seems to be the first release on Transparent Records. Both of these tracks are plucked from the full length LP, also released in the same year. Quite an expensive LP, if you can get your hands on it !
You can expect some excellent quirky synth sounds here. The A-side has an excellent synthetic bass groove running throughout it, a bit of an oddball dancefloor classic. The B-side is a bit more spastic, kind of atypical of the NDW movement, but enjoyable all the same. Here’s the rundown:

Soft and expansive B-side to the excellent warped ode to true love Grins released on Transparent at the end of last month.
So I have been in love with Active Child since magically stumbling upon his She Was A Vision 7" released through Transparent Records over a year ago. Then the Merok release of his Curtis Lane EP blew me away. But his new full length album You Are All I See has quickly become my favorite album of the year. Soaring electronics, trickling harps, emotional croons - all the elements of Active Child's style are here but they have grown and matured to this genre bending explosion of power, disparity, love, and bliss. This should make its way on to all Top 10 lists for 2011. Jaw-dropping. Much love to Hypem for the album stream.

Disclosure are a teenage duo of electro-type kids who are making some fantastic bass music. Their songs are real groovers with soul snippets dropped in and a twist of this n' that. This is chopped and minced music at its finest.
