CODED SYSTEM

Coded System : a system term which describes a collective that is coded to be a certain way, either by someone outside of the system, or a headmate within the system.

THIS IS NOT A RAMCOA TERM.

Being coded is distinct from being programmed because coding happens to systems who are out of order. Coding is a process to help systems rather than harm another person or collective.

Examples of coding could be.. setting a fronting schedule, having a mob coder, having a functionkeeper, having an emcee, having a therapist help the headmates communicate better through various practices, organising headspace in a specifically helpful way, etc.

It is important to note that not all systems can be coded and not all systems who technically classify as being coded will identify as such.

CODER / CODE PERSON / CODE KEEPER

Coder : a term for an outside person who participates in coding a system. This term is usually used by said system to refer to the person coding them.

(left) Chosen Coder: a coder who was specifically chosen by the system.

(right) Test Coder: a coder who gained that role out of curiosity about coding. These coders are usually, but not always, temporary.

(left) Self-Assigned Coder / Self-Proclaimed Coder: a coder who gave themselves that role and chose to practice coding for the betterment of a loved plural.

(right) Professional Coder / Occupational Coder: a coder who is a coder, whether they know of or identify as one or not, because of their job. Eg: a therapist.

Accidental Coder: a coder who gained that role on accident and may or may not actually know that is what they're doing.
