FENLAND FOLK 2/10 : Jean Ingelow

The second of our 10 trailer designs based on people of note from the Boston & South Holland area of Lincoln.
Jean Ingelow was a Boston born Poet & Novelist and contemporary of Alfred Lord Tennyson whose work was celebrated by none other than Rudyard Kipling.
Commissioned by Transported as part of their “Art on Lorries” project in partnership with fresh produce Hauliers FreshLinc. These trailers will be travelling the length and breadth of the UK and Europe showing some of the culture and people that make this part of Lincolnshire what it is.

ILLUMINATE 2015 - Arts Documentary for TRANSPORTED
Our latest film for Transported, Illuminate was the start of Boston’s Mayflower 400 journey, the first of a series of events leading up to the international celebration of the 400th anniversary of the sailing of the Mayflower in 2020. Community groups and schools worked with artists Julie Willoughby and Ruth Pigott to make a spectacular lit lantern parade which included stars, fish, pilgrim puppets and the Mayflower ship. There was also a performance of a beautiful song composed by groups in Boston with Jo Freya. Rhubarb Theatre also performed Mayflower, a modern telling of the epic journey of the Mayflower Pilgrims.

FENBOY - the 2015 Tour
FenBoy is a theatrical show that toured marketplaces and village fairs in South Lincolnshire in 2014 for Transported Art that was created by StrangeFace Theatre. In 2015 they are back with a longer and adapted piece for theatrical venues across Lincolnshire.
We filmed FenBoy on location last year and to celebrate and promote the new tour we put this little promo together for Transported.

“Double Exposure” by Ami Petch
Ami Egg has also got involved in the Elsoms Seed project for Transported Art that will see our very own Steven Hatton collaborating on an artist residency with Katie Smith at Elsoms Seeds in Spalding, Ami took this stunning double exposure for to contribute to the mini exhibition that was put on to inspire the staff to get involved in the project.

Electric Egg’s Steven Hatton is collaborating with artist Katie Smith on an Transported Art artistic residence at Elsoms Seeds in Spalding. They'll be working with Elsom's colleagues to explore photography and to begin they created a small photography exhibition of images taken at Elsoms to get the ball rolling and give the staff some inspiration.
