ILLUMINATE 2015 - Arts Documentary for TRANSPORTED
Our latest film for Transported, Illuminate was the start of Boston’s Mayflower 400 journey, the first of a series of events leading up to the international celebration of the 400th anniversary of the sailing of the Mayflower in 2020. Community groups and schools worked with artists Julie Willoughby and Ruth Pigott to make a spectacular lit lantern parade which included stars, fish, pilgrim puppets and the Mayflower ship. There was also a performance of a beautiful song composed by groups in Boston with Jo Freya. Rhubarb Theatre also performed Mayflower, a modern telling of the epic journey of the Mayflower Pilgrims.
