1 month (-1 day) until surgery!
I feel as if the last couple months since I got my first stage date have gone relatively fast, and I hope it continues to do so.
As a way of preparing for the surgery, I modified my gendermender packer with advice from a fellow trans guy Kameron (transswag on YouTube and Instagram). I removed the balls from the packer so I can just pack with the phallus alone, as this is what stage one will be like. It has been different, for sure, but a good feeling. I hope that it’s quite similar in the sense that my underwear will fill out like it has done with the modified packer.
My main worry was that packing in the run up to surgery would leave me with expectations for how my own penis will look like in my underwear, however, since modifying my packer; I think that it has helped and will continue to help me be comfortable with the penis alone.
I have realized that as time is getting closer to surgery, I have less worries and less excitement but more like a need for the date to be here. I’m trying to think of any questions I can ask during my pre op phone call but nothing is coming to mind. Thankfully, I’ve been talking to people who are having the surgery at a similar time to I am so that we can talk through everything that is happening, as it happens.
