how the actual fuck can my professor go through a 90 minute lecture about gender and not. fucking. once. talk about nonbinary people. not once.

we got to learn in great detail about ‘transsexual surgery’ and ‘transvestites’ but NOT ONCE did she say that transgender people can be different than ftm or mtf. the fucking notes defined gender as the “sense that defines boys/men or girls/women.”

and oh yeah we saw some great pre- and post-op photos that were misgendered. and deadnamed. like great cool thanks.
