Fishers cleanup over 11,000lb of trash around Jamaica
A whopping 11,336 pounds of trash was collected from the surface of the sea yesterday during the inaugural 2019 Kingston Harbour Trash Tournament, with the top three boats accounting for 4,483 pounds worth of garbage.
Mama Mia, with 1,988 pounds, took top honours over Team Caribbean Maritime Institute, with 1,354lb, and Integrity, with 1,141lb, of trash were the top three finishers.

In 2013, Nepal implemented a $4,000 waste deposit per team of hikers, refundable if each climber brought down at least 18 pounds of waste from the mountain. Only half of climbers did so.
So anyway... I would rant but I am too damn tired for anything these days.
All I have to say is: FOLKS, PLEASE PICK UP YOUR TRASH AND DISPOSE OF IT PROPERLY! DON'T THROW IT ON THE GROUND!!!
It just saddens me that it's so much garbage that pollutes this planet....like really. Dudes. We have nowhere else to live. And the mentality of 'it won't matter if I throw this little thing on the ground, it's not a lot of trash like everyone else throws' won't get us anywhere!!!
If all the people would think like this we would be buried in garbage, which honestly? We are.
Probably this message won't be seen by anyone, but I beg everyone else who sees it to at least try to make the world we live in better in a way; pick up a bag and gloves and clean up the street that you live in, the park, any little gesture matters! The planet will thank you.
