Are there any Pro Tips for collecting voided urine samples from cats? I collected one from my cat for his checkups recently and putting plastic wrap in his box to allow me to syringe it up into a jar ended up working, but it definitely upset his box habits for a lil bit and getting enough volume was a bit of a problem. He's 10 now with a history of urinary stuff so I'm wondering what best practice is for getting samples going forward

Your vet should be able to give you a small amount of NoSorb or Lab Litter - both of which are pelleted/plastic litters, which you can use to collect samples without using plastic wrap! Of course both of those products are over-the-counter so you could certainly purchase your own, but they are only available in bulk sizes and are pretty expensive, which is why clinics offer samples at a nominal fee.
