Have you ever thought about Griffin having to "babysit" a drink Valtor? Or Valtor "babysitting" a drink Griffin?
(Valtor being drunk happening because he drank some sort of alcohol from Domino which is also imbued with dragon fire for extra alcohol-ness?)
Sorry... This is random and everything and I just... Curious. (And trying not to laugh at the thought of what sort of drunk Griffin or Valtor would be.)
I don't really like to include drunk characters in my thought process at all because usually that's used to make the character confess some kind of feelings they've been having and it feels like a shortcut to dragging honesty out of them because the writer doesn't know how else to do it. Tbh my preferred method is to just overload the character with conflicting/negative emotions and make them have an outburst. Works better, I think. Plus, there's too much alcohol in life already.
Anyway, if I do use alcohol it's usually in a "self-medicating to numb the feelings" way which is extremely unhealthy but that's the point. And I can hardly imagine that kind of scenario with Griffin and Valtor while they're together because they would simply turn to the other for the function of cancelling out thoughts. Basically, they'd rather be drunk on each other than on alcohol. And I headcanon that drunkenness can be negated by magic anyway, if you know how. So... I can't really see it happening.
