Hi I haven't sent in an ask before so i hope this is ok, if not then don't worry about it. I was wondering if you could do Jason, Michael, Brahms, Ghostface, Harry or Leatherface with an S/O who has Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID)? I can't find any headcanons or oneshots anywhere for it, I don't mind who u write for i love em all. Much love
No worries! I’m not incredibly versed in this mental disorder so please excuse any insensitivities or pop culture follies. Jason
Doesn’t get it. If he doesn’t see a visible change, sees just one body- one person, it confuses him. He has trouble understanding the nature of the disorder.
If you tell him, verbally, which personality is speaking he’ll try to adjust, but really, it’s a lot for him. He’s bad at remembering it’s a thing to begin with and can even get scared when you shift on a dime- one second you’re there, then you’re not? He doesn’t like it.
Michael
Though initially intrigued by changes in behavior, in speaking pattern, it begins to wear on him. Socializing with one person is hard enough, now he has to deal with x many more?
Assuming you aren’t ever manic or touchy-feely or overly needy, he’ll deal with it. If not? Well, he carries the knife for a reason.
Brahms
...is supremely interested in this. It’s not something he’s heard a great deal about, old book and lack of internet withstanding, so he has all kinds of questions, for every personality involved.
Oh, you’re this person right now? More playmates. More people to bother and learn. He loves it and manages to have a completely different relationship with every personality, from rivalry to lovers.
Billy Loomis and Stu Macher
Billy has a flight response, initially. He’s fucked up, he knows he’s fucked up, and he thinks he can’t deal with someone else who’s ‘more’ left of center than him. Eventually though he calms, and that’s when the intrigue starts.
Stu’s just like, alright man! Doesn’t pay attention to it until you bring it up, or something surrounding it happens. Mostly, you’re just another person to him- or persons? He’s not totally sure.
Bubba
Really doesn’t understand how this can be a thing- redneck cannibal homeschooling isn’t known for it’s mental health curriculum.
Despite this he tries to accommodate, changing how he treats you accordingly when he knows you’re x personality. He even starts to pick up when you’ve switched without you saying.
The ‘strangeness’ of the disorder sort of becomes another Sawyer eccentricity, and soon enough it’s just background noise for the household- accepted implicitly.
