Winter activities ask game :)
My favorite winter activity, though Snezhnaya was stuck in an everlasting winter, was ice fishing! I have a handful of fond memories from my pre-abyss life of fishing with my father, bringing it home for my ma to cook for the family and the pride it brought me that I think about a lot. My eldest brother (Jason) and I would go out whenever he had time away from work after our father passed, if we could get someone to help my sister watch the younger kids. I have… problems with my dad, but it was nice to keep him around like that, you know? Besides, it gave my brother a break.
Ice skating was another big winter activity, though not really for me. My siblings, at least the younger ones (Teucer, Tonia, and Anthon), were always excited to get their skates on and go out, and being their lovely older brother, I’d go with them to keep an eye on them— however I refused to get on the ice with skates. I don’t know why, but I was just terrible at it. Just couldn’t get the hang of skating no matter how much I tried. Sometimes the youngest three and I would go skiing or sledding as well; skiing I was much better at and had no qualms with participating.
My eldest sister, Cassandra, and I would often go the ballet, see whatever winter show they were putting on at the time. She was a huge fan and even if it wasn’t truly my thing, I loved seeing her happy and I could appreciate the art of it all, though of course, I’d been going to the theatre for all sorts of shows with Pulcinella for years, so…. It wasn’t a huge deal!
There’s also plenty to say about the winter celebrations, festivals, etc. we’d hold in honor of Her Majesty, as well as general holidays such as Solstice we celebrated. In bigger cities, more extravagant celebrations were held, but in my little fishing town it was more like a block party, hahah. I really could go on and on and on about everything we did pertaining to winter or holiday activities, but I’ll spare everyone and cut it short. I’m insanely excited for everyone to see just how beautiful and lively Snezhnaya was. — Tartaglia / Childe (#⚙️💡)
