After reading The Travelling Cat Chronicles, it’s fun to imagine what Nana would think of Alice (and Finnegan and Oliver!). I really loved this book, and obviously Alice enjoyed it; I think you would too! Please read below to learn more about Nana, her human Satoru, and their amazing travels! #ad . The Travelling Cat Chronicles is a charming and moving tale about the love and friendship between a remarkable cat (Nana) and his equally remarkable human (Satoru). Set in Japan, it tells the story of how Satoru rescues Nana from the streets, and their relationship is the central basis of the book. I’ll admit I was a bit put off by the Japanese translation to English at first, however, by the end I was COMPLETELY won over. It is just such a wonderful story. Much of the book is told from Nana’s perspective, and Nana is one wise cat! Along the way we learn about Satoru, as they travel to visit people from his life. We discover Satoru’s giving-nature through stories from his past, and it is easy to understand why Nana loves him so much. I don’t want to give too much away, but there is a bit of a mystery that unfolds about why they are on these different journeys, visiting friends Satoru has not seen for years (the reason is eventually revealed). Anyone who has a cat (or a pet) would love to imagine that their cat/pet cares for them as much as Nana does for Satoru. . This is a touching story that moved me (to tears in fact). If you love stories about true friendship, especially with animals, then this book is a must read for you.
