Archie #1 is getting a bigger debut for its Sept. 2 launch. Oni Press and Archie Comics have expanded the first issue of Ben H. Winters and Fábio Moon’s new ongoing series to 40 pages, adding puzzles, pin-ups and previews of the line’s next launches: October’s Sabrina the Teenage Witch #1 by Corinna Bechko and Kano, and Archie in Hell #1 by Patrick Horvath and Tyler Crook. The publishers also unveiled a new variant cover for Archie #1 by Travis Charest, his first-ever take on the Riverdale gang, shown above.

Joe Casey takes over writing WildCats and wraps up Scott Lobdell's story about Emp's ascension and Kenyan and all that. Kinda cool, kinda messed up. I recently finished a rewatch of the WildC.A.T.s cartoon, where Jacob Marlowe is just a normal human and none of this is even hinted at, so it's a bit weird comparatively.

Great cover that has practically nothing to do with the book. Travis Charest is so good and I would totally read a book based on whatever he has drawn here.

And now WildCats will move in to it's most unrealistic, obviously fictional and unachievable in reality phase - the one where a large multi-billion dollar organization and the billionaire CEO who leads it are altruistic and actually want to do good things for society.
