Last night I watched Travis Johns' short film Three Thousand Six Hundred and Fifty Days (2010).  I watched it because I'm exploring Reed Morano's cinematography.  I enjoyed her work on this film, but not the film itself.  I also very much liked Rain Phoenix' performance in the film, but ultimately I didn't grasp what the film was about.  Something evaded my understanding.  That happens with short films sometimes in my experience. Great thing about shorts is they're over quickly so if they're not for me, I haven't invested a lot of my time and energy.  Also I found it worth while just to continue to explore Morano's work... and I'll be on the lookout for Rain Phoenix in other things.  I realize I have not seen much of her work.  So time well spent.

I'm watching Reed's work in preparation for seeing Kill Your Darlings.
