Dog people might enjoy my waggish collection of vintage dogs.
It dawned on me today that the vast majority of people probably don't know that plains indians used dogs to pull travois (pretty much exclusively before horses arrived, and in a supplementary fashion afterwards) and definitely have not seen pictures of it. Which is frankly, tragic! So I'm helping amend that issue-- enjoy some good boys and girls pictured at their important work
A Blackfoot Travois / Unknown - 1912
You ever seen a bicycle-pulled travois before? 😛
#cardoftheday #twoofblades = #travois The load seems heavy, the mountains (dreams & goals) seem distant, things don’t appear to moving as fast as you would like! I get it, I want the #eightofwands NOW energy. But #Spirt comes to tell us, this isn’t a sprint, this is a marathon. Spiritual growth isn’t something we mircowave it’s something we marinate. Slowly and consistently unpacking what no longer serves us or is essential to our journey, reflecting what’s worked & what hasn’t, building or rebuilding what does serves us well & assessing our resources to keep us moving towards. Each of these step takes us closer to that mountain. If we make the mistake of looking around & comparing ourselves to others, who might appear to have a lesser or lighter load to us, we become distracted and arrive at a standstill, leaving us stagnant. We must be about our own business, our own horses, monkey’s & circus. Today don’t look left or right look straight head at your own destiny your own goals & dreams. Keep in mind and ask yourself; 1) What do I need to unpack? 2) What do I need to rebuild or build! 3)what steps must I take to get me to your destination. Then fully commit to from your #fourcores #emotionally #mentally #physically & #spiritually #nativeamericandeck 🔮 #tarot #tarotreadersofig #tarotwisdom #tarotlovers #witchytribe #cardslingers #tarotreading #cardoftheday🔮 https://www.instagram.com/p/BohIGOiAIzd/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1nnrnbpwt98rr
