funny as the whole “travoltified” thing is, can we please remember that john travolta legitimately has dyslexia, has had it for maaaaaaaaaany, many years and has been having difficulty fixing it. there are several kinds of dyslexia (mine isn’t so much syllables as entire words, it’s mild but it’s there, which makes it really ironic that i write a lot and am an editor), and john travolta’s has more to do with syllables that are way too close together, so while his brain is reading it right, his tongue hasn’t quite caught up. it’s happened to him before. he doesn’t talk about it, even in the statement he gave where all he said was “yeah it was a stupid mistake, i’m so embarrassed” because he doesn’t think it’s a big deal but the internet makes it a big deal so yeah let’s talk about how we’re a website that’s quick to say “don’t make fun of women” and “stand up for your rights as a POC/LGBQT person” but are also just as quick to make fun of a flub by a celebrity who has a legitimate speech impediment that he doesn’t talk about and how quick we are to make fun of it coz we don’t know and because he’s a celebrity, unlike us little people
