Can you imagine, tho?? Like, Adam has been trying for years to cover his own accent, measuring each word and clipping his vowels whenever he speaks, and all around doing everything he can to bury it. A portion of his mind is tuned into his accent control 24/7, so imagine his utter shock when he hears Ronan’s accent for the first time.

Niall’s accent was really strong, but none of his kids really picked it up, and Adam never met Niall so he had no reason to expect any Irish accents in the Lynch family. However, while Ronan doesn’t have a full accent, certain words or phrases he heard his dad say a lot always stuck with him- distinctly accented.

One night, Adam and Ronan are laying together on the couch at the Barns, Opal asleep upstairs and everything quiet except for the crackling of the fireplace. Ronan’s got his arm around Adam, Adam’s smiling and warm and happy, and both of them are on the brink of falling asleep. Ronan leans his head towards Adam, smiling into his messy hair, and slurs out a sweet goodnight in a heavy Irish accent. 

And Adam freaking loses it. He looks up at Ronan with a huge smile and laughs, “Wait- say that again?” And Ronan, realization dawning on his face, immediately backpedals- “No, I didn’t say-” “Yes, you DID!” “Shut the fuck up, I didn’t-” “Ronan, since when have you had a fucking Ir-” “Parrish, I swear to-” and so on. Even though Adam gives Ronan’s a hard time about his occasional Irish slip, he loves it. He loves hearing Ronan talk like that and it even convinces him to let his own accent out more :’)

not currently but let me make some up right now:

so they all are in each others vlogs as friends so they have a following and theyre all grouped together right?

blue runs a diy blog. whether that be weird crafts (how to make trees out of repurposed canvas) or outfits (how to sew feathers into your shirts) or just....reading hate comments (making an outfit based on hate comments. spoiler: it sucks)

gansey just like vlogs his search for glendower, but he and the gangsey are so fucking weird they get a cult following. he’ll like talk about books or glendower theories from time to time

ronan does not have his own channel. he does not vlog. he does the filming for some of the gangsey on occasion, and the fans love when they hear his asshole comments from behind the camera or see his head or a flash of his arm

they all comment shit like “I heard ronan at 3:47!!!” 

adam doesnt really have time to be a youtuber, with all the jobs and such, but he helps the rest of the gangsey edit their stuff. he’ll also participate, so he’s in them a lot (more than ronan), and eventually he gets his own channel and posts like once every two months

(no one cares. he has 5 million subscribers.)

henry runs a fashion/makeup youtube channel. its all beauty tutorials and “all-nighter sleepover with sargent!” videos. he’ll vlog his parties. he’ll post 5 minute videos of him just blabbering. sometimes it helps to hear himself talk—working harder and harder each day to be more himself out loud

noah has weird comedy videos and sketches and some skateboard videos. he recreates vines in one long stream of consciousness. sometimes he’ll make reaction videos to other shit, but he’s never mean about it. just funny and bizarre and WAY too energetic.

hi hello follow up to my question about ronans accent...... y'all thinking that gansey would be so proud of his son adam for getting ronan to open up cause Edgelord Lynch couldn't use his irish since niall died because it was too painful..... just something that's been on my mind.......

(about this post) UH HUH YES 

So like let’s say in this Au not only did the Lynch fam have Irish accents, but Niall spoke Irish/Gaelic often enough that Ronan could speak it pretty well and used to teach Gansey some Irish phrases whenever they chilled at the Barns.

Then, when Niall died, Ronan cut the language out of his vocabulary. He didn’t tell Gansey Irish jokes anymore. He didn’t do impressions of his dad. He didn’t teach Gansey another word. One time, Gansey tried to lift the mood by referencing an Irish phrase Ronan liked a lot and used to say jokingly all the time, but the glare Ronan gave him was so fierce and so laced with pain that Gansey immediately shut up.

Flash-forward to Post-TRK, the gangsey chillin’ at Nino’s, and during a conversation Adam pokes fun at Gansey in Irish. Gansey’s eyes dart to Ronan’s face, wary of his reaction, but Ronan isn’t angry at all. Ronan’s laughing, open and carefree and happy, and Gansey almost sheds a tear right there and then out of relief and sheer joy that Ronan was healing. Ronan is moving on.

What do you think the gangsey's favorite tv shows are?

Hm, I don’t watch too many current TV shows so this is gonna be a lot of self-projecting whoops lol:

-Gansey definitely watched BBC’s Merlin. I’m sorry but this is indisputable b/c he would go hardcore for everything in this show: Arthurian legend, Medieval Times, magic, friendship, literally everything. 

-He also made Malory watch it when he lived with him, and it became a comforting tradition that at least twice a week they’d watch it together (please give this traveling boy a little sense of home and domesticity)

-The entire gang watches Brooklyn 99 because it is a Quality Show that Everyone should watch and honestly, sometimes it’s nice to have a comedy show to distract yourself from the world falling apart around you :’)

-On the other hand, the gang also watched Stranger Things together because, oddly enough, it was kinda relatable?? A strange supernatural world and demon leaking into reality? Yea, they know a thing or two about that sort of thing. Gansey once told Blue that she should be Eleven for Halloween, and Blue was THIS CLOSE to shaving her head (with Ronan’s heavy encouragement) for the part.

-Adam may like Criminal Minds or Law and Order?? Jeopardy?? I’m not really sure what he’d like. He doesn’t own a TV and he sure as heck doesn’t waste time on Netflix. I feel like he’d like cop shows and trivia shows. I have no reasoning for this it’s just a gut feeling. The only time he watches TV is when Ronan is watching and Ronan lets him pick.

-Ronan doesn’t watch a lot of TV in general either but I feel like he would’ve liked Psych. Adam likes it, which is reason enough for Ronan to watch, and he honestly thinks it’s a hilarious show and loves Shaun’s sarcastic nature. Ronan’s been known to quote the iconic line “I’ve heard it both ways” whenever Gansey corrects him, and it always makes Adam crack a smile.

-Noah watches whatever’s on but def likes B99, Parks and Rec, and the Office because who doesn’t?? He likes light-hearted shows and hardly ever goes for anything darker.

-I feel like Game of Thrones would appeal to the majority of the gangsey too? I’ve never watched it but I mean, it’s definitely going to catch their eye.

-Henry watches reality tv shows and the food channel, and Blue likes house hunters and travel shows. They both adore The Amazing Race and always argue discuss which of them would be able to take on which challenge: “I would definitely be a lot braver than that guy bungee-jumping off the bridge-” “Are you kidding me, Sargent? You got cold feet just going up to the top of that lighthouse down in-” “Shut up, Henry. I could do it.” “No, I would-” etc, etc

What's your opinion on Bluesey getting married? Tbh, I see it one of two ways and idk which way I like better/ which way is more canon for them. I either see them getting married really young, like within the first year of dating because they just know. OR I see them never getting married because Gansey and Blue both think it isn't necessary, they know they're in love who cares? However, I just saw that post about Gansey taking Blue's last name "Richard Sargent" and 😍😍😍😍😭😭😭😭😭

I think, in regards to canon, they probably won’t get married for a long time, if at all? Tbh, the biggest problem is that I can make a case for both sides of every decision when it comes to marriage for these two. Do they get married? Who proposes to whom? Who’s the Best Man? Who’s Maid of Honor? Do they even follow traditional wedding rituals? Does Gansey have a bunch of Welsh wedding traditions he’s always secretly hoped Blue’d be on board with? I don’t know and I wish I did!!

I think Gansey would like to be married, and after a while Blue would come around. They’d go a while without ever really talking about because they didn’t need to; they knew they would be together forever. However, a couple years pass and Gansey realizes he does want to get married and, you know, be official (not to mention the pressure from his parents to actually let them participate in a big moment of his life for once) and tbh, as much as Blue wants to deny it, she’d kinda like to have wedding! 

If Gansey proposes, it’s going to be planned out and fretted over for a month and meticulously orchestrated and it’s STILL going to get screwed up. Somehow, he and Blue end up on the slippery kitchen floor on top of each other, covered in various teas and flour and sprinkles, Gansey’s glasses askew and Blue’s hair falling out of its clips, Ronan and Adam laughing until they can’t stand, Chainsaw sitting on Gansey’s head nibbling at the frosting in his hair, and Gansey’s wedding ring out in the open in between the two way ahead of schedule.

If Blue proposes, it’s going to be with an elaborate maze of clues for Gansey to follow, a new quest, that takes him and Blue all over Henrietta in the Pig hunting down some unnamed “important treasure,” stopping at Nino’s, Cabeswater, Monmouth, 300 Fox Way, Aglionby, Boyd’s, Litchfield House, that spot in the hills or mountains that he and Blue looked out over Henrietta at night that one time, and ending with the ring having been in the Camaro’s glove box all along *cue cute kisses*.

The wedding has to be big because there’s no way around it. 300 Fox Way itself constitutes a good couple of dozen guests itself, plus Gansey’s family and Ronan and Opal and Adam and Henry and the Grey Man and Malory and a smattering of Gansey’s friends from his travels. The Ganseys help pay for it, but that doesn’t stop it from feeling cozy and eccentric and colorful and unconventional and, well, very Gansey and Blue.

You know what? Adam is Gansey’s best man and only beat out Ronan b/c Gansey doesn’t trust Ronan with bachelor party. That’s it. That’s the real reason. Also Henry gets to be his sole other groomsman. A small but meaningful crowd.

The 300 Fox Way women all passive-aggressively hint to Blue that she should pick one of them to be her Maid of Honor but, being anti-establishment, Blue picks Ronan and Noah as co-Maids of Honor, with Calla and Orla being bridesmaids.

Ronan is THIS CLOSE to hijacking the reception music and playing Squash One, Squash Two, but the second he steps towards the DJ he gets a glare so intense from Gansey that he decides that if he values his own life, he shouldn’t touch the music.
