Ah yes, Tree Agate, the Bowling Fusion

So here’s what I think of what Tree Agate (The Fusion of Sphene (Ford) and Turquoise (Compton)) would look like, and my mind was like; Tree Agate is a Walking Talking Bowling Pin! And what's a bowling pin without a Bowling Ball? I bet that when Tree Agate use Blastokinesis, his PSI-Blast Energy forms into a Bowling Ball! Cool Huh? Yup, in other words, Tree Agate's a Shy yet wise Bowling Peepaw! And yes, The Other Gem from Sphene is on the back of his head.

Tumbled Tree Agate

Oh man, oh MAN, moss agate is amazing!!  Let me show you some pictures of my super cool sphere of moss agate!

This side of the sphere is mostly tree agate.  Moss agate and tree agate are pretty much the same stone: they’re both green dendrites suspended in chalcedony.  It tends to be sold as “tree agate” when the chalcedony is white and opaque, and “moss agate” when the chalcedony is translucent.  This piece has both!

It also has some really neat agate banding, and a vug!  It’s over there in the upper right.  That’s a little gap in the agate where some quartz crystals formed, like a teeny tiny geode!

Here’s another angle on that vug.  Also, do you see that gorgeous yellow and red iron staining?

All the green stuff on this side of the sphere is suspended in translucent chalcedony.  That’s moss agate, baby!

So complex!  So beautiful!  Because the chalcedony is translucent, you can see layers upon layers of those green dendrites, spiderwebbing deep down inside the rock.

I really like the pattern it makes over in this area, too!
