Ah yes, another thing to add to my list of "utterly useless information unless you need that one sentence to sound just right" only to forget about it and write something totally different instead.

this is the most RANDOM thing ever at this point but i remember a clip where Wilbur is giving Tommy a riddle of "i have a bed but i never sleep" and tommy replies "tree" which is apparently wrong, but i defend that answer because i SWEAR TO GOD "tree bed" is the term for the area around the bottom of a tree where you sit but google isn't giving me results so like, am i insane???? is that not the term??? i can't even find a term for like, where the trunk meets the ground where you can sit underneath IN THE TREE BED but like ??????????????

I am suddenly regretting posting this ask, because this is like choosing between children! Okay, I’ll go with the first Iron Man because it’s just perfect. But Iron Man 3 will always be my crack fave.

Groot. He has the Heartwood, and then the Sapwood, followed by the Rings and the Bark. And let’s not forget the Pith.

Oh, you mean emotionally layered??? Tony, by farrrr. The dude has gone through so much pain (physical and emotional) throughout his arc, and he’s still such a damn good person - and the irony is that he doesn’t see how good he really is. I could also go on about his metaphorical mask, the public persona, the one he started wearing long before Afghanistan, to hide the caring & sensitive person he really is.  He’s not perfect, he makes mistakes, but always tries to be accountable and grow from them. And at the same time there’s still the mischievous/assholey side?  He’s so complicated. Ugh, I love him.
