Tree Picking, Again! This year, summer and fall have kind of blown by (even though some days of these December days have been so warm that they’ve still felt like summer, but I’m not complaining!). With all of the crazy changes that we’ve been going through this year, along with our family get together for Thanksgiving, I honestly lost track of time and completely forgot about picking a tree.  Usually, the first weekend right after Thanksgiving, I’m itching to get out to the Merrifield Garden Center, chose the perfect tree and bring it home with us (as you can see here and here!). But this year, we decided to give ourselves a chance to breathe and instead went out and picked our tree a whole week later (this is a huge accomplishment on my part, you guys). When we finally did go, we asked Jayran to join us too and made a day of it! It’s safe to say that I think this year’s tree may be the most perfect (and maybe biggest) tree thus far! And thanks to Jay, for coming along with us and taking a few rare photos of Poria and I together!

That Time of the Year... This year, I'd been itching to pick out and bring home our Christmas tree as early as October (I know... I was getting a little bit ahead of myself). But I forced myself to wait until the weekend after Thanksgiving (and convinced Poria that it would be the perfect time) to make our way to the Merrifield Garden Center to pick out our tree for the season. 

We made our way through the lush pine trees, searching for the perfectly imperfect tree to bring home with us until we finally settled on the right sized and shaped tree...
