Tree studies!! That’s all I have to say lmao they made me so mad at one point lmaooo
study
Quick tree study I did. Because I can't just draw cute girls all the time.
I have very little experience with backgrounds, but I like trees. This was referenced from a photo I took of a tree in my backyard during late afternoon. In terms of background art, I always liked Mike Mignola's use of shadows, and I recently started looking at Eyvind Earle's art.
[The forest dwellers have found a new home]
It's been difficult to find the motivation to draw but here is a bunch of little guys i have been sketching.
They are the left-over spirits of dead insects. They make their home in hollow trees like these, usually living in groups of four or five.
They are harmless to humans aside from the illnesses they carry. They eat by stretching their shadows and consuming small mammals, like squirrels and rats. They move like snakes when attacking.
Currently without a name. I accept suggestions.
