Say hello to my trees! All of them randomly started growing in my balcony planters, and I've decided to take them in. Plus a bunch of sprouting maple seeds, I'm excited to see how they do.
I love them dearly. I love watching them grow day by day, I love waking up and noticing a new leaf forming, I love thinking about what they'll look like in a few weeks, months, years.
I never thought of myself as someone with a green thumb. Most plants I've kept in the past died relatively quickly, and I didn't exactly care enough to put in the effort required. I really just got them because 'people decorate their place with plants, so I should get plants, too'.
I don't see my trees as decorations. They're my projects. My little guys. My pets. My friends. My reminder that life can be beautiful.
And they get me excited to get more plants! So I can watch them grow as well, and think about how they'll look in a few weeks.
