summary:
Dear Evan Hansen but from Connors Perspective.
Connor Murphy doesn't give a shit if he ever sees these people again. He just wants out. Out of his too-big house, a factory of robots they call high school, his family who didn't give two shits about him. If he can, senior years gonna be the last year he ever has to worry about. Fortunately, it's just not that easy.
Notes:Notes:
Hi everybody!!! this is my first multi-chapter fic and so I really hope that you like this. I feel like we got a lot of fics from Evans's perspective more so I really wanted to make one of Conner's perspectives and do some tweaks that in my version of Dear Evan Hansen that is more meaningful to me. I will be keeping some important and honorable mentions from the musical strictly but I'll make it my own. Or in all honesty, the remake was a mess so let me a gay Latina high schooler with anxiety do it. Have fun!
(also I know this can be annoying to some people but I will be taking some inspiration from some of my favorite songs for example the first song that this fic is named by "a little closer" from the adaptation soundtrack because that song is the only thing I give a shit about. I won't really be adding lyrics or anything to the fic I will just be adding song titles so you can look them up while reading if you'd like I would also maybe make a playlist if you'll want)

ALRIGHT
We all know how Connor and Evan met, right (and I’m talking about when Connor pushed Evan)
Well, what if Connor felt really guilty and went to apologize to Evan
“Hey, Evan, I’m sorry for what I did earlier.” “Oh, well, well that’s okay, it was really, really just an accident”
And Connor offers to take Evan to ice cream
That’s where they become friends
It slowly lead to more as the two boys realized how strong their connection was
And Evan was the first person to make a move
Because, yeah, Evan’s got real social anxiety, but something like this just sits on it and WILL NOT mention it
Also, Evan just feels so comfortable around Connor that he feels like he can say anything
And so, he just says it
And it’s like instant relief for Connor
So, the two boys innocently and awkwardly admit their feelings for each other
And they decide to date
They’re like the boyfriends who are super chill in public, like they don’t really show PDA
But occasionally, Connor will wrap an arm around Evan’s shoulder if they’re hanging out
THEY’RE JUST SOFT AND ITS PURE OKAY
Double Murphy (DEH TreeBros)
Ok this is the first writing piece im posting here.
Summery: Soulmate AU where the names of their soulmate and enemy is written on their wrist Evan has both Connor and Zoe name on his wrist
Word count: 784 my writing length will progress
Warnings: slight cursing?
--------------
"Evan are you looking at your wrist again?" Evans mother asked the boy staring at his hands sitting on his bed.
"There both the same, what if their siblings? I-I mean there probably siblings, but ones my enemy and ones my soulmate, what if I get them wrong," Evan panicked.
Heidi laughed at her son, "you'll be fine hunny, but your going to be late if you keep sitting there." His eyes widened as he grabbed his bag and made his way outside and began to drive to the new school.
~
"What are you? An acorn?" His family friend Jared snorted at him, then he caught a look at Evans wrist, "Double Murphy huh," Jared busted into a laugh. Jared also had one Murphy on his wrist, the Murphy as his Enemy, and he already knew it was Connor. "You have fun there buddy, hey tell your mom I was nice to you, so my mom will continue to pay my car insurance," Jared winked before starting to walk away.
"Nice hair Connor, very school shooter chic," Jared laughed.
"That was funny, I'm laughing," the long brown haired boy held a stone expression as his wrist showed a red color with Kleinmans name, "Am I not laughing hard enough for you?"
"Freak," Jared scoffed walking away.
"What? You think it's funny to?" The scruffy tall male now looking at the short blonde one.
"N-no I-" Evan held his wrist in pain as Connor shoved him down and walked away.
Evan stared at one of the Murphy names glowing on his wrist, no color differentiate, nor was there a font or size change confusing the boy sitting against a locker.
-
Connor hissed in pain as he sat in the back of the class, his wrist burned and his thoughts raced. He knew the name in red was Kleinmam, he knew Jared unfortunately to well. They gave it a shot a couple years ago, but their first kiss was definitely what gave away that Jared was Connors quote unquote enemy.
This name bore on his wrist in a purplish color and a cursive font, Hansen. "Connor you found your soulmate! Where is she," Alana cheered, as Evan walked into the room rubbing his wrist.
"It's not a she," Connor mumbled wondering if Evan knew yet, or if he hasn't met the other one. Grudgingly Connor sat on his hand sub-doing the pain until his sister walked in the room.
"Your sitting In my seat," Zoe sighed looking at the blonde hair blue eyed boy. Evans eyes widened as he got up and Zoe hissed in pain. "What the fuck, your Hansen?" The girl hissed.
"E-Evan," he mumbled looking at the bold red letters of Murphy on his wrist.
"Get the fuck out of my seat," she hissed causing Evan to move a little quicker. "I don't want a homosexual sitting in my seat anyway," she scoffed. Evans anxiety sky rocketed and he left the room.
What did she mean homosexual, was her brother actually his soulmate? Wasn't Jareds name written in red on Connors wrist?
Connor followed the boy out of the room, just out of curiousity. Evan sat on the bathroom floor hyperventilating his wrist burning, the feeling that his hand would detach from his arm.
"Huh, never thought I'd meet you formally here," Connor stepped into the room, Evan stopped breathing all together. Connor squatted down next to the anxious child, their wrist in immense pain, hands so close to each other yet so far. "Listen you need to breath you'll make yourself pass out," Connor explained.
Quickly Evan inhaled, pain spread. Connor reached slowly for Evans hand, even more pain. His fingertips just barely touching the others, the pain almost unbareble. Connors fingers locked with Evans and Evan let out a wail of pain. Their wrist glew at the same time, a purple color and fancy font.
"Better?" Connor asked the smaller male who had a tear stained face. Evan gave a slight nod and Connor huffed, "to think you got me out of the two Murphys on your wrist."
"I-I'm so sorry, I didn't know this would happen, I mean I did but not meeting like this, or that your stuck with a guy, unless your into that, b-because I am, but-" Evan cut himself off after rambling looking into Connors multi colored eyes.
"Are you done yet, we still have a class to get to," Connor asked.
"I-I mean I don't want to fight with your sister, and and what if-" he was cut off another time, only this time Connor placed his lips to the others.
"Now shut up and let's go," Connor sighed.
Fic-vember Day 22
Good for You (DEH, treebros)
When Evan woke up he was uncharacteristically cold. His feet, which were usually tangled with Connor's beneath the soft, laundry soap smelling, comforter were freezing. His arms were reaching for someone who wasn't there. Evan got up, rubbed his eyes in a vain attempt to add clarity to the darkness of early morning, and pulled one of Connor's hoodies over his pajamas. Connor Murphy was in the kitchen. He was working diligently at something on the stovetop. His hair was a tangled mess and his movements were jumpy as he looked to the pot on the burner and back to the cookbook on the counter. "Good morning," Evan said, and his boyfriend jumped. "Jesus fucking Christ Ev how long have you been standing there?" He turned to look at him and Evan could see the bags under his eyes and frazzled way his eyes shifted. He attempted a smile, but it looked more nervous than reassuring. "Not long. What are you doing?" He looked warily at the pot and glanced down at the oven. "I'm making the mashed potatoes now so we can just heat them up before dinner. And I put the turkey in. I think I have everything timed out." Zoe hadn't believed him when he told her that Connor had agreed to make Thanksgiving dinner. And yet he'd diligently looked up every recipe and turkey carving tutorial. He'd cursed at the long lines in the grocery store and asked Evan which placemats he preferred. "Your mom's getting here at 6 right?" He asked. He was checking his watch already. "Yeah," he replied. This was the first time his mom had visited since he'd moved in with Connor. The move had been 3 months ago and so far things were going swimmingly. Connor helped him study when his hands shook too hard for notecards. They watched nature documentaries on the couch and Connor did his best to stay awake but usually ended up with his head in Ev's lap. The house felt like theirs. It felt safe. Connor had been very adamant about achieving the perfect turkey. Evan didn't have the heart to tell him that most Thanksgivings at the Hansen household were comprised of Chinese takeout and late shifts at the hospital. Heidi got paid better if she worked holidays. He knew he was going to all this trouble because he cared, but he also didn't want him to overextend himself. Connor did that sometimes; when he felt worthless he overcompensated. He yelled or he laughed so his ribs hurt or he cried into Evan's polo until he didn't have tears left. "She's going to love you, Con," he said gently. "Perfectly times turkey or not." "Sure she will," he laughed harshly. "I'm not sure I'm good enough for any of this," he gestured vaguely to Evan and the house and everything that had belonged blissfully to them in the past months. "How am I supposed to convince her I am?" "You don't need to. She knows it already. I know it already." Evan remembered the first time they spoke. He remembered how hard it was to get the words out back then. It was getting easier. "You're good for me Connor Murphy," he said.
