MEMO

Dear Professors —

Um. Sorry for my prolonged silence…um. It is actually, um. Kind of magical? 

Vi — I mean, um, Professor Firinne. The Stage Fright potion worked so well. Um. Everything went off great last night! (Which, by the way, thank you all for coming!)

But, afterwards, well, I couldn’t undo the — confidence? Um. You remember how I tested it? I was speaking in my Stage Voice all day, and so were the students, so I tried to counteract it, and I seem to have — over-corrected? By which to say I’m kind of, um. Speechless. And, um, less articulate. Obviously, I mean, I — and nervous? I think?

This might be a good remedy for your problematic swearers, Evelyn — I mean Professor Treefeather — the muteness, I mean. Um. Not the nervousness. That would be too harsh. But…if you could modify it? We need a Potions professor, but…is anyone good at this? Um.

I’d love to get this fixed by this evening! Um. The Princess Bride is one of my favorite movies, but it won’t be as fun if I can’t…talk.
