Trek Advent | Day 14 | Favorite Star Trek Fanfiction

2013 by @pcbw [ AO3 | Fanfiction.Net ] I absolutely love this JC fic for so many reasons. Not only is it long (194k+ words!) but it is so well-written. The little details casually thrown in (Chakotay struggling to pry open his new keychain or Kathryn unconsciously fiddling with a loose thread on her comforter) provide the reader with such a vivid mental image that it’s so easy to get lost in this read. The original characters are wonderful and the scenes between Janeway and Chakotay (smutty or not) are some of my favorites. :)
